Len Dalton is unable to secure a position as a pilot, fearful of losing the affections of his girlfriend and suffering from post-operation depression, he contemplates suicide. After visiting Dr. Welby for a checkup, Dalton tries to persuade Consuelo to give him some sleeping pills. When his pleading fails, he obtains the drug from another source and tries to end his mental anguish forever.

The Outrage

"The Outrage" is a 1974 episode of Marcus Welby, M.D., a long-running American medical drama on ABC. The episode tells the story of a teenage boy who is sexually assaulted by his male teacher. The episode, which originally aired October 8, 1974, sparked controversy and anger for its equation of homosexuality to pedophilia. "The Outrage" was targeted for protests by LGBT rights groups and several network affiliates refused to broadcast it.

At length he succeeds in battering down her door, and finds that she has been sexually violated by her ex-boyfriend, Wayne Trent. Kiley takes Susan to the hospital. Later, he goes after Trent, who in attempting to flee, is seriously injured when his car crashes into a concrete pillar.
