For the first time in North America and only the second time in the world, Canadian Idol Online Auditions were held, casting the net even wider and resulting in an 11th virtual city stop. The Final Four are mentored by legendary songstress Anne Murray, as they pick music from her vast song book.

The Top 3 contestants performed two songs each from Bryan Adams' extensive songbook, after being mentored personally by the man.

Final Performances
The Top 2 went off to New York City to work with John Legend. They performed three songs; a Judges choice, one song of their own choosing and the new Canadian Idol winner's single.
Grande Finale
In the performance episode, the Top 2 contestants performed 3 songs. The fans have voted for their favourite contestants. Performances in this 2 hour special will include: The Top 10; This year's winner; Last year's winner; and more. Performances announced August 22, 2008: John Legend, Hedley, reigning Idol champ Brian Melo and Jully Black. Headliner will be Mariah Carey!
